American technology journalist and author whose 2015 Elon Musk: Tesla, SpaceX, and the Quest for a Fantastic Future was the first serious biography of Musk — written with Musk's cooperation but not approval — and which remains the definitive account of his early career.
Produced the first comprehensive Musk biography — capturing the SpaceX near-death experience, Tesla's production crises, and Musk's personal history — at the moment before Musk became one of the most famous people on Earth.
