Ridley Scott's 2024 sequel to Gladiator — set years after the original, following Lucius (son of Lucilla, nephew of Maximus) who becomes a gladiator after his home is conquered by Roman general Acacius.
Continues Ridley Scott's Roman epic tradition — while receiving mixed reviews compared to the original, the film demonstrates Scott's continued ability to produce large-scale historical spectacle.
