HitRECord is an online collaborative production company and open-source media platform founded by Joseph Gordon-Levitt, enabling artists worldwide to create and share short films, music, literature, and other media projects together.
It pioneered a unique model of collaborative content creation where artists contribute to projects, often receiving payment for their contributions, fostering a community-driven approach to media production that blurs the lines between amateur and professional.
