University of Toronto

Major Canadian research university in Toronto where Jordan Peterson served as a professor of clinical psychology — the institutional base from which he developed his undergraduate lectures, wrote his books, and launched his public career before his 2022 suspension.

Provided Peterson with his academic platform — including the Maps of Meaning and Personality and Its Transformations courses that generated millions of YouTube views — and the institutional credibility from which he became a public intellectual.
